Robert
(Bob) L. Montague will be making a presentation on Saturday at the reunion
and for those of you who don't know Bob, he is the grandson of the turn of
the century governor of Virginia, Andrew Jackson Montague. Bob owns
a 250 year old restored townhouse in Alexandria, Virginia that is on the
National Register of Historic Places. It has a long and interesting
history. There are also many portraits of people of interest to the
Montague family on display.
Bob has agreed to open his home to those attending the reunion. Lunch will be served while we are there. I am sure you will find this trip to be very interesting. It will take about 3 1/2 hours for the drive down. The tour and lunch will take about 2 hours so altogether the trip will take about 9 hours. If we leave the hotel promptly at 8 AM we should return about 5 PM depending upon traffic conditions. We can leave earlier if you like. I need to know immediately if you would
like to take this trip. I have to confirm a bus no later than July
11, 2000, (Tuesday morning). It is next to impossible to charter a
bus on short notice. Please email me at mail@montaguemillennium.com
