systems to heavy equipment dealers, such as: lift truck,
construction machinery, farm machinery, and automobile and
truck dealers. Traveled the US extensively. Analyzed
customer hardware and software requirements. Sold systems
averaging $250,000 to $500,000 in value. Compiled extensive
proposals. Arranged financing. I was the first salesmen
hired by the company when they started moving sales
operations to regional offices and in that position worked
in a relatively unsupervised and independent capacity out of
Memphis. I ranked number 3 out of all the salesmen
worldwide. |

received by the farm community, educational and agricultural
organizations and was written up in several major farm
publications, and highlighted on several radio and TV
broadcast. |

The company was a turnkey computer sales and
software developer. I sold medium to large-scale computer
systems of $100,000 up to $250,000 in value. Sold systems
to various types and sizes of companies, also did all of the
software analysis studies and developed the specifications
for new programs required by the customer. Supervised
programmers in the design, testing and implementation of
specific software for many types of industries. I
personally developed the company’s proposal format. I was
almost completely self-taught in computer operations and
software. When I began in this field I had no working
knowledge of computer systems at all. I was hired
exclusively based upon my aptitude and past record in
science and technology. During the second year I was
selling over 150% of quota. By the second year I ranked
within the top 5% out of a total of over 300 salesmen
worldwide and was a member of the manufacturer's inner
circle top sales club. |

Pre-engineered Steel Building Sales
I was hired by the company to sell
pre-engineered steel buildings. For the salesmen that were
successful in this business the product was sold and closed
within two hours. No be backers. The largest building I
sold was in the $50,000 range. The average was about
$25,000. I went through one week of training with 20
people, 8 of which dropped out. Of the total of 14
buildings sold the first week I sold Seven. Was promoted to
regional manager within thirty days. Continued in sales as
well as managed and trained ten to twelve sales
representatives in the branch. |

I was hired by the new owner of this lakeside
housing development to resolve existing governmental and
finance problems which had shut down property sales, and to
manage the sale of property when it was back on a positive
footing. Problems resolved included; HUD suspension against
advertising and property sales, financing difficulties, and
advertising.
My duties also
included planning and executing the development and
construction of additional property within the development.
Additionally, I was responsible for hiring, training and
managing the sales staff.

was very successful and profitable for the owner. |

department and proficiency check pilot for all the
instructor pilots and students in the flight school. |

Chief pilot for the operations of a Lear Jet
and Queen Air. Also supervised two additional pilots. Flew

chartered our aircraft to others for executive and high
priority freight operations. An investment banking firm
owned this company. I also developed experience in
municipal and corporate bond and stock market operations and
the underwriting of new stock and municipal bond issues. I
eventually became involved in the business operations of the
company and received extensive experience in the area of
corporate acquisition, sales and mergers. Also became a
registered stockbroker. Also served as a fiscal agent for
our parent company in local, state and federal hearings
representing municipalities on new bond underwritings. Was
registered and sold securities on a limited basis. Prepared
analysis data on new stock and bond issues, which required
accurate and considerable financial research. |

Enlisted as a Paratrooper and special warfare
communications specialist. Attended airborne school where I
received the Parachute Badge. Assigned to an Airborne Long
Range Reconnaissance Unit in Germany. Received numerous
expert badges for marksmanship. Also received the German
Parachute Badge. Worked my way up through the ranks and
attended the Army Aviator Flight School where I was
appointed a Warrant Officer and received my Army Aviator
Wings.
Unit aviation
officer for an Army Security Agency Battalion at Ft. Bragg,
NC. Was extensively involved in electronics research and
development. Personally designed and supervised the
construction and modification of electronics equipment and
aircraft used to fly Electronic Reconnaissance missions.
Also attended Jungle Survival School in Panama and
received the Jungle Expert Badge.
Served in an
Electronic Reconnaissance Unit in Vietnam, received a total
of 32 decorations including; 26 Air Medals, Commendation
Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign
Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, National Defense
Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. Honorably
discharged. Held positions including but not limited to
single and multi-engine and instrument flight instructor and
examiner through electronic intelligence and
counterintelligence operations officer. Was responsible for
avionics and electronics maintenance and communications for
my aviation unit in Vietnam. Established all teletype,
data, voice, relay, and PBX communications for my aviation
battalion, including in country as well as international.
Personally designed and supervised the construction and
modification of electronics equipment and aircraft used to
fly ECM (electronic countermeasures) missions. Was
extensively involved in the research and development of air
to ground direction finding equipment used to locate and
identify enemy transmitter sites and troop movements. I
received the Army Commendation Medal for this work.
While in Vietnam received a direct appointment from warrant
officer to commissioned officer status.
Assigned as
Aircraft and Instrument Instructor Pilot in the Multi-engine
Branch at Ft. Rucker. Transitioned single engine qualified
pilots into multi-engine aircraft.
