Montague family genealogical tree, American College of Heraldry, New York. CS71.M759 18-.

Letters addressed to Mrs. Basil Montagu and B.W. Procter by Mr. Thomas Carlyle. Printed for private circulation, Chiswick press, London, 1881. First edition. Published by the daughter of Mrs. Basil Montagu in answer to Carlyle's description of the "Montagu menagerie" in his "Reminiscenses". PR4433.A5M6 1881.

I am fairly sure, based on a comment in the DNB, that this daughter of Mrs. Basil Montagu was not a natural daughter of Basil, but rather was a child of her first marriage (she had been widowed). The daughter's married name apparently was Procter.
