| Percival John Montague, 1882-1966 |
 
Canadian soldier and judge, chief of staff and judge advocate general of Canadian army overseas during World War II.
Received a BA from University of Toronto, 1904, studied law and passed the bar in Ontario (1907) and Manitoba (1907), practiced law until 1932, at which time he was appointed a judge of the Court of Queen's Bench in Manitoba.
Served with distinction in World War I. From 1920-1925 commanded the Fort Garry Horse and from 1928-1936 the Sixth Mounted Brigade.
In the Second World War was major-general in charge of administration and chief of staff at Canadian Military Headquarters, London. He was also judge advocate general of the Canadian army overseas.
Appointed justice of the Court of Appeal in Manitoba in 1951.
