• I give up - Does anybody know anything about Dr. Aubrey Montague of Lautoka, Fiji, circa 1922? Probably a `County Tyrone' Montague?

• Does anybody know anything about the private life of Alice Montacute (nee Chaucer), duchess of Suffolk, countess of Salisbury, born circa 1400, died around 1475? Her second husband was Thomas de Montacute, fourth earl of Salisbury. She apparently controlled much of Suffolk county and Norwich and was unsuccessfully indicted for treason in the Jack Cade rebellion. Her tomb and effigy are at (Eweime?). She was a granddaughter of Geoffrey Chaucer.

• Does anyone have a copy, or know anything about, The book Reflections on the rise and fall of the ancient republicks, adapted to the present state of Great Britain, London, 1759, by Edward Montagu, `radical' son of Lady Mary Wortley Montagu? In Venturi's The End of the Old Regime in Europe, he claims this book had numerous editions and was reprinted in French, German, and Italian... Venturi quotes the line "For a nation so favored by commerce and the arts and sciences, we would sincerely like to predict a revolution leading to a better future."
